The distribution of c section performed by male doctors is skewed to the right. While the distribution of c- sections performed by female doctors is approximately symmetric. Since the distribution of c-sections performed by men is skewed right, we will compare using median and IQR. The typical number of c-sections performed by mean is 34, while the typical number performed by women is 18.5. The IQR for the distributions performed by men is 23and for the distributions of c section performed by women is 19. In addition, the numbers of c- sections performed by men ranges from 20 to 68, a range of 66, while the c-section performed by female ranges from 5 to 33, a range of 28. There is nothing unusual in the distribution of c- sections performed by women. But there is a beg gap in the distribution of c-sections performed by men between 59 to 85. The 1.5IQR rule shows that 50+1.5(23) = 84.5, which is larger than 85 and 86. So these observations are potential outliers. We conclude that there is most likely a difference between the number of c- sections performed by men and women.
