Illusions of the Dark - The trilogy begins. Prologue 1000A.D. Some unknown terror mountains in Eastern Europe. Cave mouth hanged with stalactites and stalagmites poking out the metamorphic floor. Grave stones with or without name plates. All packed with rusty and dusty particles. Dim moonlight shining across the icy surface, all most like stage lights rushing through a dance floor. No human. No human comes out alive. The place had been taken for centuries, by dark forces of the night. Where Demons come and go and witches chasing after growling werewolves. Where the hunters get hunted and where screams melt into bloody liquor. Where vampires reveal themselves to every possible source of food. Where evil rules. Inside a bloody mouth of a Cave, on a slimy warm seat made of monster blood, sits the master. Yes, that’s what the pack calls him, as if he has no name. True, as they say. He, who we serve for, needs no name. The Master has a rather tiny figure comparing to the other vampires, but larger and sharper teeth is enough to justify his positions in the pack. Unlike the others, he had green eyes instead of red and wore a dark grayish furry cloak. Besides their majestic leader stood neatly the warriors, each staring up at the leader with a glow of respect. Or possibly fear. Judora stepped front and bowed down gracefully, knowing she was his favorite, and eyed the others with pride. She came close to his sullen eyes and knelt down beside his covered knees, placed one wrist on her master’s lap. “Here,” She said dangerously. “Lays the blood of a newborn boy. Drink and you’ll preserve the youth you want forever.” With each breath she takes, the air trembles and becomes colder than the minute before. Their incredibly young and charming vampire leaned down on Judora and dipped his teeth until they became unseen, crushing into her veins. Or if vampires had veins at all. Each and every monstrous sip he pumps up, Judora shakes throughout the body. But she fought to stay conscious. This wasn’t much for her, but it’s not exactly nothing. It is her vampiric duty to bring her share of blood to her beloved leader. “This tastes good.” He hummed through his nose, busy doing the sucking up and swallowing down. “I want more.” A terrible whisper. Judora pulled free from the master, a tint of anger burned in his eyes. “I said more!” His astonishing voice echoed away in the open wild. The rest was a little scared and backed down a few steps. “That was all I could get,” Judora said with a panicking voice. “Before the slayers came.” She added quietly to herself. Her master looked away, somewhat furious. The slayers. I’ll get rid of them someday. But meanwhile… “Blade!” He called across the path to a charmed but dangerous looking vampire. He was aware, or rather, alarmed. “Destroy her.” Judora stared up with dead surprise, flaming with hatred. The master wasn’t a bit regretful. “Take her out and do it.” He added, “I don’t want to see her disgusting face anymore.” Blade walked up, grabbed the stake and dragged Judora out, as all eyes were set on the sexy vampire who their master used to love and treasure so much. Their master did not even hesitate. “What use of keeping her?” he spoke. “By me or the slayer, she is doomed to die. Sooner of later.” The rest breathed uneasily. Judora looked rather innocent in her white nightgown, almost as innocent as the human Judora, before their master turned her into a vampire. They had shared the same blood, hunt out in the wild for multiple lives. Blade didn’t know how he could destroy her, without feeling guilty. “Blade,” She begged. “How could you? I made you.” Memories of pain and pleasure rushed back to his vision. Yes, it was true. Without Judora, he wouldn’t have been a vampire. Without Judora, I would be in such pain, such irresistible destiny. “I serve for master now.” He managed to say. Judora stared into his eyes, where his struggling soul lays. One last kiss of goodbye. Goodnight. “I’m sorry” Blade said with sorrow, and drove the stake into Judora’s heart. Blood sprang out like a red fountain, blinding Blade’s eyes. He did not know who’d be next and what would come next. Dawn rises. Bed time. Blade wished it was all a day mare.
